Athens, Georgia. On Saturday, October 18, citizens from across Georgia’s Congressional District 10 will gather in Athens-Clarke County and Greene County for the second “No Kings Day of Action. They will join millions of American across the country in a nationwide day of nonviolent protest against the increasingly unlawful and authoritarian actions of the Trump administration.
There currently are thousands of events planned nationwide, as Americans come together to support the United States’ Constitutional democracy and the rule of law.

A coalition of more than seven local citizens’ pro-democracy, political and environmental groups will hold “The People’s Tailgate” on North Campus near the Arch and the Chapel at the University of Georgia. Representatives of the sponsoring organizations will hand out informational materials about the impact the administration’s authoritarian actions are having on all Americans, along with “Dawgs for Democracy” stickers and other pro-democracy items.
12 p.m.-2. p.m.
Protestors will be on the sidewalks on the Prince Avenue overpass over the Loop around Athens, holding large protest banners visible to drivers on the freeway below.
“No Kings” protestors also will gather with protest signs and banners, lining Prince Avenue from the overpass towards downtown Athens.
