Athens mobile home destroyed by fire

The Athens-Clarke County Fire and Emergency Services Department on Sunday posted the following on its Facebook page:

At 12:03 pm yesterday, our fire crews were dispatched to a reported residential fire on Hemlock Drive. On arrival firefighters found a mobile home fully involved in flames. Our crews’ prompt efforts kept the fire from spreading to nearby vehicles and homes. And all residents made it safely out of the home, we’re relieved to share.

Red Cross was notified and provided assistance to the affected residents.
