An Athens woman has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs for a second time within a month.
Raven Leighann Thrasher, 35, of Lake Place was arrested early the morning of July 10th for allegedly driving under the influence of Seroquel and illegally possessing other drugs.
Last month she was arrested after causing property damage with her car while allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Her car reportedly knocked down a row of mailboxes in Oconee County and she was arrested after driving back to Athens.
Thrasher also has a pending domestic violence case from last summer when she was arrested at Satterfield Park where she and her father allegedly assaulted a man who was coaching a youth football practice.
The most recent arrest stemmed from a 911 call by a clerk at Circle K on Atlanta Highway reporting that Thrasher had been stumbling around inside the store before getting behind the wheel of a car.
She was at the gas pumps when police arrived and admitted to officers that she had taken Seroquel, for which she had a prescription.
Her speech was slurred and there were other indications of being her being impaired, but she refused to be field tested for sobriety and was arrested.
Her car was subsequently searched and police found a baggie of amphetamine pills.
Thrasher was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of prescription drugs outside of the original container, and possession of a controlled substance,
