Authorities need help finding family members of deceased Athens man

By Joe Johnson

Authorities are reaching out to the public as they continue attempts to find family members of Earl Anthony Barnhart, the 66- year-old man whose body was discovered last week in the parking lot of Cookout on West Broad Street.

Foul play was not suspected, though police are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death.

Anyone who knew Mr. Barnhart or has information that could help connect authorities with his relatives is asked to contact the county coroner at 706-613-3999.
