A woman reportedly was shot early Sunday morning while she was visiting at Athens Gardens.
Ayeshia Bullock, 29, of South Milledge Avenue was shot in the face, and she was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police have identified the shooter as 29-year-old Ambria Rhodes, who resides at the apartment complex located off Lexington Road.
Witnesses reportedly told police that Bullock had been “beefing” with people while attending a block party and that she returned home to Athens Gardens still wanting to fight,
After retrieving a gun from her apartment Rhodes got into her car and fired the weapon three times as she was driving away, according to police.
Bullock, who was visiting with people at the 180 building on Coleridge Court, was struck by a bullet that lodged in her jaw, police said.
Witnesses said that the victim and suspect had no relationship with each other, and they had not been fighting, according to police.
Rhodes was last seen driving a gray 2004 Honda Accord that displayed Georgia tag TFJ7621.
Classy, as usual
We MUST declare Athens Gardens a gun free zone!!
that's pretty good shooting. doubt I could do that unless a rifle. Bitches be beefin! probably not the only "skirmish" at the "block party". Sorry I missed it!
