The Clark Atlanta University student from Athens who was reported missing and later found dead was strangled, suffocated, placed in a plastic bin and dumped at a park, according to court documents released on Tuesday.

The Associated Press and other media outlets reported that Fulton County Superior Court released èdocuments that provided horrific details concerning the death of Alexis Crawford, a 21-year-old graduate of Clarke Central High School.

The court documents reportedly indicate that Crawford and her roommate, Jordyn Jones, fought inside their apartment after buying alcohol and Jones’ boyfriend, Barron Brantley, got involved.

Atlanta police said Brantley strangled Crawford, and Jones smothered the victim with a plastic trash bag until she stopped breathing.

The suspects then allegedly put Crawford’s body into a plastic bin and left her at Exchange Park in Decatur.

Jones and Brantley are both charged with murder.
