Authorities are investigating the death of a 10-month-old girl over the weekend at her home on South Lumpkin Street.
The 23-year-old mother told police that Annie was fine when she nursed her at 5:30 a.m.Saturday but lwas not breathing when she checked a few hours later.
The infant’s grandfather was making coffee in the kitchen when he heard Annie’s mother scream. He ran into the bedroom and immediately called 911 and began CPR, continuing until relieved by firefighters.
Annie was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
