Fabian Eugene Ellison, 37, of Fairview Street was arrested on November 28th after he beat and strangled his girlfriend,

The 27-year-old victim told police that when Ellison came home that night he began accusing her of cheating on him with the maintenance people and kept on with that until she informed him she wanted out of their relationship.

He reportedly responded by punching the woman in her face and then strangled her to the point of losing consciousness.

When she came to the woman tried leaving to call for help and “Ellison told her that she would die before the police were able to make it through the door,” the arrest report states.

After she was later able to escape the woman called 911 from where she was hiding in her vehicle.

Police officers arrived to find the woman still in the vehicle, with scratches and bruises on her neck, a swollen and bruised cheek and a rasping voice.

Ellison was arrested for aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and family violence battery.
