U.S. citizen’s expecting to live another 15-25 years largely on Social Security will be doomed with the Trump inspired Project 2025 and RNC platform. Why? The U.S. is experiencing the lowest fertility rate on record and the deportation undocumented immigrants proposed by Project 2025 and Trump. What does that have to do with Social Security? Undocumented immigration improves the finances of Social Security. Even though they are not eligible to collect Social Security, many of these immigrants still pay taxes into Social Security. Deaths and births are close to canceling each other out, so if all undocumented immigrants were deported today, next year’s Social Security trust funds would have a $13 billion shortfall. That is a considerable loss of dollars pushed by Trump and Project 2025.
Here are some other hard facts, immigrants are not taking jobs away from U.S. citizens, no matter what Trump says. In Georgia, who are the people working in the chicken processing plants, picking Vidalia onions and Georgia peaches, who keeps our lawns neat and roofs our homes? Who works for pittances with few safety nets, and does physically demanding work that keeps our businesses afloat and that American citizens refuse to do? These workers are helping to keep our Social Security afloat.
Mass deportations will irreparably harm Georgia. The consequences of your November vote will be seismic for a long time. Educate yourself about Project 2025, the plan Trump says he knows nothing about. It is full of actions he’s trying to publicly hide from, but make no mistake, it is his plan.

Thank you for clearly making this point. Undocumented immigrants pay billions in taxes every year, but don’t file for returns because they are undocumented. The loss of immigrant labor would destroy this country.
