Man arrested after infant son severely burned

The following was released by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office:
A 20-year-old Jefferson man has been arrested after he allegedly severely burned his infant son.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Logan Wayne Hart was arrested on Tuesday in Barrow County and transported to the Hall County Jail on a felony count of child cruelty.
The investigation determined that the baby suffered burn injuries to his foot on June 27 while in Hart’s care in Flowery Branch. The burns on the child were consistent with the foot being submerged in boiling liquid according to officials.
Hart remains in the Hall County Jail without bond and the investigation is ongoing.
