Man set woman’s car on fire while she was driving

A man was recently arrested for setting fire to the backseat of his girlfriend’s car as she was driving on an Athens highway.
The woman was driving on Hull Road on the morning of October 11th when 36-year-old Brad W. Nunley set the fire and she was extinguished it by beating the flames with her shoe, according to police.
When she pulled into a convenience store on Danielsville Road Nunley grabbed the car keys and began to leave, When the woman tried keeping him from leaving her stranded a struggle ensued in which he pushed her up against the car and slammed her face into the door
Nunley ran from the scene but police found him hiding in some nearby woods.
He was arrested on charges of first-degree arson and simple battery,
