Missing person BOLO: Lavonne Cain

Released today by the Gwinnett County Police Department:

Norcross, Ga., April 30, 2026) – Gwinnett County Police detectives have been actively investigating a missing person case involving 65-year-old Lavonne Cain.

Cain was reported missing by family members after he was last seen leaving his residence at the Canopy Glen Apartments, located at 1635 Pirkle Road in Norcross, on April 23, 2026, at approximately 9:20 a.m. Family members advised that while Cain typically leaves the apartment daily, he consistently returns home by the end of the day. Cain is also known to frequent the Shell gas station located at 5615 Singleton Road in Norcross.

Since Cain was reported missing, detectives have been working to determine his whereabouts and follow up on information developed throughout the investigation. Through efforts completed thus far, detectives have been able to track Cain’s last known location to the intersection of Beaver Ruin Road and Buford Highway during the early morning hours of April 24, 2026.

Detectives continue to search for Cain, review surveillance footage, and pursue all available leads in an effort to locate him safely.

Cain is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He has short black and gray hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing gray cargo pants, a red shirt, and an orange and navy jacket with “Blanco” written on the back.
