Police take note of teen takeover trend

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Mar. 13, 2026) – A viral trend of teenagers organizing large public gatherings is spreading across Metro Atlanta.
Gwinnett County Police are aware of a planned takeover that has spread on social media, set to take place on Saturday, March 14th, in unincorporated Stone Mountain. GCPD encourages everyone to abide by the law of the state of Georgia and ordinances of Gwinnett County.
However, anyone who becomes disruptive or engages in illegal behavior will face immediate law enforcement action. Gwinnett County Police will have a strong presence in the area, and officers are prepared to arrest anyone violating the law. Laws regarding Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass, Unlawful Assembly and Pedestrians on the Roadway will be strictly enforced for all participants, including juveniles.
