The following was released this afternoon by the Clarke County School District:
Clarke County School District Superintendent Dr. Robbie Hooker today announced the reassignment of five elementary school principals, effective July 1, four of whom will be transferring to lead other schools within the district.
Current J.J. Harris Elementary School principal Dr. Beverly Harper will become the new principal of Howard B. Stroud Elementary. Current Stroud principal Dr. Stacie Carson will move over to Fowler Drive Elementary as its new principal, while current Fowler Drive principal Pamela Garcia will take over at J.J. Harris.
Elsewhere, current Barnett Shoals Elementary principal Aliceson Nobles will become the new principal at Gaines Elementary School, taking over for Dr. Luther McDaniel who will be joining the administration at Clarke Central High School as an assistant principal to fill a vacancy.
District administration will begin the process of working with the Barnett Shoals local school governance team to identify the most qualified candidate to become the school’s next principal.
“These transfers are being initiated after a great deal of thought as to the needs of each school in pursuit of our vision to be a high-performing school district that ensures all students can access opportunities and positively contribute to their communities,” said Dr. Hooker. “Each of these leaders has been part of our district for many years, and I look forward to the work they will do with their new school assignments.”
