Two members of an Athens street gang have been sentenced for their roles last year in the carjacking of a rival gang member’s vehicle.
Shakevean Kerin Muckle, 21, was ordered to serve 5 years in prison and 12 years of probation; Harmony Demeria Huff, 18, was sentenced 10 years of probation.
Both sentences were agreed upon by the defendants during plea negotiations with prosecutors.
In return for Muckle pleading guilty to a reduced charge of robbery by intimidation, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, prosecutors dismissed charges of carjacking and violations of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
Huff pleaded guilty to robbery by intimidation and aggravated assault, in return for dismissal of the carjacking and gang charges.
