A suspect has been identified in a shooting this week at a westside apartment complex that injured two teens.

According to an Athens-Clarke County police report, 20-year-old Craig Devin Trammell of Jefferson shot the teens Monday afternoon at The Flats @235 on Sycamore Drive.

The victims were identified in the report as Terrance Grant, 18, of Danielsville and Sherod Porter, 17, of Hull., police said.

Both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

“Porter and Grant were concerned about their gunshot wounds and didn’t provide responding officers with much information about the incident,” according to the police report.

Lt. Shaun Barnett, ACCPD’s public information officer, said the suspect and victims were known to hang out at The Flats.

He said the victims were shot within the complex then fled into a wooded area behind the apartments.

The suspect was said in the report to drive a 2001 Mercury Marquis four-door sedan that displayed Georgia tag RVQ 6197.

“I am not aware of any witnesses that actually observed the incident,” Barnett said. “We received calls about people hearing gunshots but nobody that has come forward to say that they actually saw the incident.”

Police asked for anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective Paul Johnson at paul.johnson@accgov.com or 762-400- 7060.
