Suspect in custody after westside Athens shooting

A 32-year-old man was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after he was shot during an altercation at a westside apartment complex.
A suspect was quickly identified and located in one of the apartments and arrested.
Rocksprings Court resident Marlowe Jackson was transported to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
Arrested for shooting him was 19-year-old Ronald Joseph Levi, who was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The police department has not disclosed possible motives for the shooting or said how badly the victim was injured.
