A University of Georgia student recently was arrested after he was kicked out of a bar in downtown Athens and cursed out a police officer.
According to reports, an officer was on bicycle patrol on East Clayton Street at about 12:30 a.m. April 18 when he saw 19-year-old Jonathan Castro being escorted out of Cloud Bar.
The employee explained to the officer that Castro had attempted to assault someone inside the bar and he just wanted the student to leave.
The report noted that he was “visibly drunk.”
The officer instructed Castro several times to leave, and he responded by pointing at the officer and yelling, “fuck you.”
He was then arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and underage consumption of alcohol.
