Winterville woman charged with assaulting neighbors with gun

Jennifer Ashley Lueke, 39, of Glendale Heights in Winterville, was arrested for aggravated assault after she allegedly threatened neighbors with a gun

According to police, the incident occurred on the afternoon of August 20th when Lueke reportedly waved a handgun while yelling at Hispanic neighbors across the street.

One woman told police that she left with her children because she claimed Lueke pointed the gun and was afraid she was going to shoot them.

The woman denied ever wielding a gun but confirmed a verbal altercation with the neighbors, during which she claimed to have been threatened,

When asked what the threat was “she said she was not sure because she could not understand him but his demeanor made her feel like it was threatening,” according to police.

Officers seized a loaded pistol from Lueke’s home placed her under arrest,

She was released from jail six days later, upon posting a $2,000 bond.
