Young man arrested for taking shortcut on Athens Perimeter

Jalen Gatlin was in a median of the Athens Perimeter when he was spotted by a police officer who was driving by.

When the officer asked him what he was doing, the 21-year-.old man explained that he was taking a shortcut.

The officer arrested Gatlin for illegal use of a highway by a pedestrian and took him to jail.

He was released from custody upon posting $10 bail.
