A man dressed as a Nazi was arrested early Friday for assaulting a woman outside of a bar downtown Athens
Kenneth Leland Morgan, 32, of Appleby Drive, was booked into the county jail at 3:56 a.m. on charges of aggravated assault and simple battery.
He was dressed as a member of the Gestapo, the Nazi secret police.
Details were unavailable Saturday from the arresting agency, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.
The incident was captured on video that has been circulating online via Instagram, X, and Reddit.

In it Morgan is seen being pushed out of Cutters Pub and onto the sidewalk where he is surrounded by people yelling and cursing at him, and at one point he strikes a woman in the head with what appears to be a beer mug.
He is being held at the jail without bail being set for the assault charge.
