Athens mayoral candidate Zuniga to host meet and greet

Athens, GA — Residents of Athens-Clarke County are invited to attend a public Meet & Greet with 2026 mayoral candidate Mara Zuniga on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Athens-Clarke County Library, 2025 Baxter Street, Multipurpose Room B.

The event offers community members an opportunity to drop in at any time during the two-hour window to meet Zuniga, ask questions, and share their ideas, concerns, and priorities for the future of Athens-Clarke County. The gathering will be a safe, photo-free environment designed to encourage open and respectful conversation.

Zuniga’s campaign is centered on new leadership committed to nonpartisanship, fiscal responsibility, and social inclusion. She is focused on building a strong coalition of diverse-minded, concerned community members united by a shared goal: moving Athens forward together.

“I want to hear directly from the people of Athens-Clarke County about what matters most to them and how we can work collaboratively to strengthen our community” said Zuniga.
