Athens-Clarke County police are searching for a suspect wanted for allegedly committing over two dozen burglaries and other crimes. Police said that after an extensive investigation, detectives linked 21-year-old Bryson Hamilton of Athens to at least 23 burglaries, attempted burglaries and entering automobiles.
Many of the crimes have occurred along the Hancock corridor, according to police.
Through photo evidence, officers connected Hamilton to a series of incidents in late September and detectives began their investigation, which police said is continuing.
According to police, Hamilton mainly steals electronics such as speakers, computers, gaming consoles and controllers, backpacks, clothes and shoes.
In a public notice, police reminded residents to discourage criminal activity by removing valuables from their unattended vehicles and locking the doors.
Residents should also turn on exterior lights, install video surveillance systems, and call 911 to report suspicious activity, police said.
Police asked that anyone who knows of Hamilton’s whereabouts to contact Detective Jonathan Simms at (762) 400-7102.
