Cop files sexual assault complaint against fellow officer

An investigator with the Monroe Police Department recently filed a sexual assault complaint against a sergeant in her department.

Athens police responded to the Family Protection Center on October 22nd to meet with the 24-year-old alleged victim.

She said that she was ending a yearlong relationship with the other officer when he came to her home in Athens to pick up belongings and return belongings to her.

After a period of talking to each other, he allegedly walked over to where she was sitting on a couch and took out his penis and tried forcing her head towards it.

“She resisted for some time and he finally stopped and walked away,” according to a police report.

The sergeant later tried calling the investigator but she has blocked him, police said,

A camera in her living room reportedly recorded the incident and she gave the footage to Athens-Clark County police for their investigation,
