Athens man assaults ex in burglary of her home

Teco Tobias Boswell, 21, of Colbert, was arrested on the night of February 13th after he reportedly broke into the home of a former girlfriend and assaulted her.

According to police, Boswell got into the victim’s University Oaks apartment by busting a window and then he hit the 23-.year-old woman and threatened her with a gun.

Boswell fled from the scene and was later located at the hospital where he received treatment for injuries he sustained when breaking the window and punching holes in the bedroom door and wall.

He was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, first-degree burglary, criminal damage to property, terroristic threats and acts, and possession of a firearm in the commission of certain felonies.

He was released from jail upon posting bonds totaling $7,000.
