Gang activity persists despite redevelopment

When The View at NoDa apartment complex opened north of downtown in May it took the place of a crime-ridden complex known as Bethel Midtown Village.

The main reason for the high crime was because of gang activity in the complex that the Bloods street gang claimed as their territory.

When 22-year-old Antino Jewell was killed at the new apartment complex on November 6th police said that he was fatally shot during a gang-related armed robbery.

On Thursday the police department filed in court arrest warrants for the three gangsters arrested for Jewell’s murder that identified them as members of the Sex Money Murda gang, which is a local subset of the Bloods.

Well, that didn’t take long. Sigh.

And if Trump were to proactively send in the federal law enforcement officers and the US Army National Guard to stop all this gang violence activity in its tracks and make that complex and the city safe for the law abiding citizens that live here, do you think our mayor would acquiesce and approve?

No.

Him and the commissioners would do everything in their power to stop the influx of this outside law-enforcement to preserve the rights of the criminals because the mayor and his lackeys would falsely claim that there is no gang of problem in Athens.

The problem is culture not location. Gentrification proves this.
