An employee of an eastside trailer park was robbed at gunpoint Thursday evening, Athens-Clarke County police said.
The 45-year-old victim said he was near the maintenance shed of Hallmark Estates off of Spring Valley Road just before 7 p.m. when he was approached by a black male wearing dark clothes and a mask who pulled a gun and demanded the victim’s wallet and cellphone, according to police.
After the victim surrendered the items the suspect fled the area with the wallet, cellphone and cash with a total value of $310, police said.
Officers searched the area but did not locate the gunman.
