Barrow Co. teacher charged with having sex with and supplying alcohol to students

A teacher in Barrow County was arrested Friday for allegedly having sex with “several” students at her home in Bethlehem and supplying them with alcohol, according to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.

Heather Dawne Kishun, 35, a teacher at Apalachee High School, was charged with felony aggravated child molestation, child molestation, sexual assault against a person enrolled in school.contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and furnishing alcoholic beverages to persons below the legal age.

She was taken into custody following an investigation of a complaint that Kishun "was involved in a sexual relationship with several students that attended Apalachee High School, according to the sheriff's office.

"Kishun was a Barrow County School System employee at the time of the incident, but there is no information that any inappropriate contact occurred at any schools," the sheriff's office said.

Kishun remained at the Barrow County Detention Center without bail as of late Monday afternoon.
