Jealous girlfriend trashes house with cat litter

A 23-year old Athens woman used cat litter and other things to vandalize her boyfriend’s house because she was angry about his suspected infidelity.

The victim told police that when he returned to his home on Deupree Court Saturday afternoon his girlfriend was asleep on the couch and cat litter had been strewn throughout the residence.

The word “Lame” was spelled out with cat litter on the front doorstep.

The woman accused the victim of cheating on her, and she complied with his order to leave.

He further discovered that she had written messages with lipstick on mirrors in the bathroom, and made a hole in the kitchen wall by throwing a glass.

The man told police that he didn’t want to press charges, but just wanted to have the incident documented.

An officer explained to him the process for obtaining a judge’s restraining order if needed.
