We are working to provide support to students and families in a number of ways, including meal service, health support, and access to medical services," CCSD Communications Manager Beth Moore said on Tuesday.
"The district website will continually be updated with resources supplied by the district as well as those offered in our community," she said, "Many parents/guardians have reached out asking if there is a mechanism to donate money to support students and/or volunteer. If we need to request volunteers, we will do so via our website/social media platforms. The Athens Area Community Foundation is collecting donations on our behalf – click here to donate online.
Moore said that the meal service program willbe updated on Wednesday, as the school district makes changes to routes and procedures based on its first day of operation on Tuesday.
