Local attorney to be honored for championing rights of crime victims

To commemorate October's Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Marsy’s Law for Georgia is presenting a Marsy’s Law Champion Award to Athens attorney Kevin Epps for his work and dedication to representing victims of Marsy's Law violations.Marsy’s Law for Georgia Advisory Board Members Christine Scartz, of the University of Georgia School of Law and Melvin Hewitt, co-founding partner Isenberg & Hewitt, will present The Marsy’s Law Champion Award to Epps. 

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday in Courtroom One of the Oconee County Courthouse.
