Luxury Bed & Breakfast set to open in Five Points

ATH|BNB, an innovative accommodation concept and Athens’ newest local business, will celebrate the grand opening of The Rushmore, its first luxury, modern bed and breakfast in the heart of Five Points. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. Aug. 5 at 1175 S. Milledge Ave, to be followed by a public open house until 4 p.m. ATH|BNB owners Candice and Cameron Treadway, Mayor Kelly Girtz, CVB Director Katie Williams, and Chamber President David Bradley will be sharing brief remarks at the ribbon cutting.

As the first-of-its-kind accommodations in Athens, The Rushmore offers 14 suites, each individually appointed by Athens design firm Metal + Petal, featuring bespoke furnishings, sumptuous textiles and curated art. The B&B caters to the independently minded, design-focused traveler, offering all-inclusive amenities including tailored breakfasts and unique experiences based on the reason for a stay. Guests will feel at home at The Rushmore, with check-in and key access on their cell phones. Every suite at The Rushmore has a personality of its own, with touches unique to the suite. Bringing the best of The Rushmore’s location into the guest experience, each suite is named after a town in Georgia, from Fargo to Tiger to Juliette (peek at the designs here). The owners and operators of The Rushmore are UGA graduates and Five Points residents, so it’s important to ATH|BNB to work with local businesses on many aspects of the experience, including a local café and design firm.
