Man dressed as Nazi arrested for assaulting woman in downtown Athens

A man dressed as a Nazi was arrested early Friday for assaulting a woman outside of a bar downtown Athens
Kenneth Leland Morgan, 32, of Appleby Drive, was booked into the county jail at 3:56 a.m. on charges of aggravated assault and simple battery.
He was dressed as a member of the Gestapo, the Nazi secret police.
Details were unavailable Saturday from the arresting agency, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.
The incident was captured on video that has been circulating online via Instagram, X, and Reddit.
In it Morgan is seen being pushed out of Cutters’s Pub after being denied entry, and on and the sidewalk he is surrounded by people yelling and cursing, with one attempting to grab his Nazi armband.
Towards the end of the video Morgan strikes a woman in the face with what appears to be an empty beer pitcher.
He is being held at the jail without bail being set for the assault charge.
