Authorities on Monday were investigating the death of a Greene County man whose body was found in car Friday afternoon in the parking lot of a westside shopping center.
Jordan Hudspeth, 29, of Greensboro had been reported missing by his mother on Thursday and a woman called 911 Friday upon seeing the man’s body slumped over in the car at the Clarke Crossing shopping center off Atlanta Highway And Timothy Road.
Police did not suspect foul play and Clarke County Coroner Sonny Wilson said it appeared that death might have been caused by an accidental overdose due to drug paraphernalia that was found in the car.
Wilson said the car had been in the parking lot since Wednesday before the woman noticed the unresponsive occupant two days later.
An official cause of death will be determined by autopsy results, the coroner said.
