Man who shot girlfriend in face indicted for murder

An Athens man who killed his girlfriend by shooting her in the face has been indicted for the murder.
A grand jury sitting in Clarke County Superior Court returned an indictment that charges 28- year-old Kendall Elon Boone with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The indictment stems from his arrest for killing Esnati Thalani Gurura, 48, an immigrant from Zimbabwe.
Police indicated that the murder was a crime of domestic violence.
It occurred on November 4 in the apartment the couple shared on Royale Road.
