Londell Nunn Jr.

Athens-Clarke County police said they recently obtained warrants for an Atlanta-area man who is suspected of committing two armed robberies in Athens earlier this month.

The warrants charge 27-year-old Londell Nunn Jr. of Decatur in connection with a Sept. 6 armed robbery at Game Stop on Lexington Road and another hold-up three days later at Dollar General on West Broad Street, police said.

“An investigation revealed that Nunn is a multi-state offender and is currently in custody in Alabama for an armed robbery in that state.” police said.

After his Alabama robbery case is completed, Nunn will be extradited back to Georgia to face two counts of armed robbery in Athens-Clarke County, police said.

Police encouraged agencies in other jurisdictions that are investigating robberies committed by a suspect resembling Nunn to contact Detective Sean McCauley at (762) 400-7061.
