The Athens-Clarke County Police Department recently took part in a local-state-federal investigation resulting in the execution of search warrants at county locations where more than 80 pounds of heroin, cocaine and fentanyl and nearly two dozen firearms were seized, and three men were arrested on drug-trafficking charges.

The seized narcotics included five pounds of methamphetamine, over two pounds each of heroin and fentanyl, and 77 pounds of cocaine.

The 19 seized guns included two pistols that were modified with switches that enabled automatic fire.

Great job to all involved in this bust. Makes ya proud. I'm not one of those who presumes that every Hispanic must be illegal, but I'd like to know in this case. Almost certainly, a life or two were saved by this bust.
