Two suspects have been indicted for a driveby shooting that targeted a home on Dwight Road three months ago.
Rakeim Jaquin Hillsman, 31, and Jemeka Joanna Moon, 27, were each charged with aggravated assault and driveby shooting, which is a new offense that went on the books earlier this month. It is punishable by a maximum of 20 years imprisonment upon conviction.
Hillsman was additionally charged in possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Moon was further charged with felony fleeing from police,
According to the Superior Court indictment, the incident occurred on April 30th when Hillsman opened fire on the house from a pickup being driven by Moon.
They were arrested after Moon led police on a pursuit.
One of the residents of the home that was shot up told police she had been the intended target because of animosity between her and Hillsman’s sister.
Both suspects are scheduled to be arraigned on August 11th.
