Athens-Clarke County police were investigating a Monday afternoon shooting that injured a female at the Parkview Homes apartment complex.
The shooting occurred at abut 3:30 p.m. on Weir Circle within the complex located between West Broad and Baxter streets, according to ACCPD's public information officer Lt. Shaun Barnett.
"A female victim was shot and transported to a local hospital," he said. "I currently do not have any information on the victim's condition. I do not have any suspect information at this time."
The officer also did not know the age of the victim, where she lived, or how seriously she was injured.
"I’m still waiting to hear back from someone out there about info on the victim," he said.
