Police investigating shooting at Athens apartment complex

Athens-Clarke County police are investigating an incident at Bethel Midtown Village late Thursday afternoon in which someone was shot.

"One person is shot," said Lt. Shaun Barnett, ACCPD's public informatiom officer.

The identity, gender and age of the victim was not immediately available, nor were the circustances surrounding the shooting, which was reported at about 4:30 p.m.

I"I don't have any details about the victim and I do not know the extent of injuries at this time," Barnett said.
