The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department announces its pool season for the upcoming summer.
Pools open this Saturday, May 25 through Sunday, July 28.
The county will operate four public pools, at Heard Park on McKinley Drive, Lay Park on Hoyt Street, Memorial Park on Gran Ellen Drive, and Rocksprings Park on Henderson Extension.
The Bishop Park pool is closed for renovations.
During the aquatics season, pools are open from 1 to 5:30 p.m on Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, and on Saturdays from noon to 5:30 p.m.
All pools and splash pads are closed on Mondays for maintenance.
Memorial Day pool hours are 1 – 5:30 p.m.
Pool and splash pad admission is $1 per person, cash only.
Pool passes are available for purchase and may be used at both splash pads and county pools. Individual passes are $20, and $40 for families of four.
