Searchers have found the body of a Winder man who had been missing for nearly a week.
Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith confirmed that members of a Community Emergency Response Team found the body of 24-year old David Najour on Thursday afternoon in a wooded area a significant distance from his home on Tom Miller Road. He was last seen alive near his home on Sept. 29.
Smith said that foul play was not suspected to have been involved, though an investigation continued.
In a missing person flyer the sheriffs office said that Najour had a "mental condition."
Najour's body was transported from scene to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy.
My condolences to his family and friends.
Very sad.
