An Athens teen was shot Wednesday night at an eastside trailer park, Athens-Clarke County police said.
Officer responded to Hallmark Estates off of Spring Valley Road at about 10:48 p.m. on a report that a 15-year-old girl was shot in the stomach, according to police.
The girl was transported by National EMS to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Lt. Shaun Barnett, ACCPD’s public information officer, said there were no known witnesses, suspects, or possible motives.
The girl was the third person to be injured by gun viol in Athens in four days.
A 31-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy were struck by bullet ricochets Saturday when gunfire erupted during a fight at Rocksprings Homes, for which three people from Atlanta were arrested.
