Teen shot in Athens apartment complex

A 19-year-old Barrow County resident was hospitalized in stable condition on Tuesday after being shot the night before at the Parkview Homes apartment complex off West Broad Street.

When police officers responded to the reported shooting at 11:48 p.m. they found Jaivan Woods of Winder with gunshot wounds and rendered lifesaving care until EMS arrived to take over and transport him to the hospital.
