Falklands War Ends

The Falklands War came to an end on June 14, 1982, when Argentine forces in the Falkland Islands surrendered to British forces. The conflict began on April 2, 1982, when Argentina invaded the Falklands, a small archipelago in the South Atlantic claimed by both Argentina and the United Kingdom. The war lasted ten weeks and resulted in the deaths of 649 Argentine military personnel, 255 British military personnel, and three Falkland Islanders. The end of hostilities reaffirmed British control over the islands, but left lasting impacts on both nations, influencing their military, politics, and foreign policies.

I remember this little war. The Exocet Missile was something of a star. The Argentines sank two British warships with this French armament. BUT JOE! Wasn't this 42 years ago? Who's proofreading over there?
