Two injured in Monroe helicopter crash

Two people were injured when their helicopter crashed Wednesday morning in Walton County.

The Bell 206 helicopter went down in a field near Mount Paran Church Road in Monroe at around 11a.m., according to Sheriff Keith Brooks.

The two people on board were conscious and alert when they were taken from the scene to a local hospital, he said.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have been notified Antares investigating.
