A University of Georgia employee was recently arrested on charges he sexually assaulted a girl in Madison County.

Kenneth Russell Dobbs, 52, was taken into custody May 30 on charges of child molestation and aggravated sexual battery.

The warrants were issued as part of an investigation that began in April, when allegations surfaced concerning crimes Dobbs committed against a girl who lived in the same residence as he, according to Capt. Jimmy Patton of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

The alleged victim was between 10 and 15 years old, according to Patton, who is commanding officer of the MCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division.

He said the investigation was still ongoing and further details will be made available upon its completion.

UGA’s current personnel directory lists Dobbs as network administrator in the EITS Network Infrastructure and Services Department.

Death is the only cure for child molesters. They do it once, they'll do it again and again.
