Waffle House has dropped its 50-cent-per-egg surcharge.
The Georgia-based chain announced the temporary surcharge in February amid a nationwide egg shortage.
The chain posted on X today that the surcharge was off the menu as of June 2.
“Thanks for understanding!” the post said.
The price for a dozen eggs reached a record-high of $8.17 in March. They’re now down to $2.56 per carton.
