WHERE'S WALDO?
In Athens of course.
The famous children's book character in the striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is visiting 15 different local businesses throughout our community this July. Those who spot him can win prizes, including buttons, book coupons, and more. Waldo figures will be hidden in locally-owned businesses in Athens, Check the list at the bottom of this page for a complete list of businesses hiding Waldo.
HOW TO PLAY:
Anyone who wishes to participate can pick up a "Where's Waldo in the ATH?" passport at Avid Bookshop with the names of all participating businesses, and get their passport stamped or signed for each Waldo they spot.
When you’ve collected at least ten (10) different store stamps/ signatures, take them to Avid Bookshop, your FIND WALDO LOCAL headquarters, to claim a Waldo sticker and a coupon for $1 off (limited to the first 100 Waldo-spotters).
If you collect at least thirteen (13) stamps/signatures, take your passport to Avid Bookshop to get a Waldo sticker and a coupon, PLUS be entered in a drawing for a deluxe set of Waldo books and other great prizes.
There is a special prize for the first person to find all 15 hidden Waldos in each business playing.
The search begins on July 1 and ends on July 31. We will draw for prizes afterwards and host a Waldo party. If we're lucky, Waldo himself may show up!
