Jasmine Alexandria Peters, 29, of Covington, was indicted Tuesday for allegedly trafficking ecstasy.
The indictment stems from her arrest in April during a traffic stop for driving a car with a broken taillight on and leading police on a vehicle pursuit during which she tossed a bag of drugs from her car.
Peters is charged in the indictment with both trafficking ecstasy and littering.
The incident for which Peters was indicted occurred early in the morning of April 1st when a police officer saw her driving a car with broken taillights on Old Hull Road.
The officer attempted a traffic stop, but Peters continued to drive and threw a grocery bag from the car before finally stopping on Danielsville Road.
When police located the bag they found that it contained a misdemeanor amount of marijuana and over four ounces of ecstasy and arrested Peters.
She was denied bail in August by Superior Court Judge Lisa Lott, who determined that Peters was a flight risk.
An arraignment is scheduled for December 2nd.
